Organised by Whirinaki Whare Taonga Arts & Entertainment Centre
In 2026, Ōrongomai Marae marks 50 years in Upper Hutt. Hosted at Whirinaki Whare Taonga, Ōrongomai Tū Tonu is a milestone exhibition bringing together the people, artifacts, photography, and stories that reflect the marae's enduring presence. At its heart, this is a story of belonging—how a community established a urban pan-tribal marae and how it continues to serve, welcome, and connect generations.
