Page Turners Teen Book Club

Page Turners is Wellington City Libraries' fortnightly book club for rangatahi (young people) aged 11 and up. Held at Te Takapū o Patukawenga | Mervyn Kemp (Tawa) Library, sessions run from 3:30–4:30pm on alternating Thursdays during school term. Each meeting pairs book talk with a hands-on craft activity, giving teens a chance to explore new genres, swap recommendations, share reviews of what they're currently reading, and enjoy kai (food) together. It's a relaxed, social space aimed at "bookworms of all genders," run by the library's youth team, with numbers kept small so everyone gets a chance to take part. Since spaces are limited, teens (or their parents/caregivers) are asked to email the Tawa Library team in advance to secure a spot.
